Ministry Focus

Rhonda has a three fold ministry focus:

1. Global Leadership Development: Focus on building leaders and emerging leaders for our 25,000 full time staff in 271 countries by creating a coaching culture.
2. Adult Professional Ministry: Evangelism and discipleship in the business and professional arena with a focus on influential women.
3. Cancer Survivors: Speaking, writing and retreats for cancer survivors and their families. Also doing the same for those involved in the self-help/growth movement.

Personal Journey - Call to Christ

As a child I had the privilege of attending Sunday school and learned at an early age the familiar Bible stories. I am thankful for this foundation. However, it wasn’t until I was a freshman in college that I understood what a personal relationship with Jesus Christ was. It was there that I met Christians who seemed to know God personally and who were excited about telling others about Him. As I got to know these folks and attended some Bible studies, I understood my own need to receive the precious gift of Jesus dying for me. I began to grow in my faith by participating in Bible studies, prayer, fellowship and sharing my faith with others. I had opportunities during my college years to do some summer mission projects.

Call to Missions Service

At Expo ’72, a Christian conference, I remember responding to the challenge given by Billy Graham and Bill Bright to give my life completely to the Lord and said I would go anywhere and do anything. After college, I taught high school English to alternative students. It was there that God broke my heart. I remember thinking, any one can teach these kids English, but what they need most is to understand the love of Christ. My initial call to missions was to reach out to high school students and I joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ in 1977.

Fruits of Our Labor

It’s hard to summarize 34 years of ministry. My main contribution seems to be in equipping others for the work of ministry. I enjoy finding the Pauls in various settings; being Barnabas to them and seeing God use them to reach their sphere of influence for Christ.

One of the main projects I have been involved in the last several years has been the North American Senior Leadership Initiative. Business leaders from across the country volunteer their time to coach our emerging leaders. I train and mentor these business leaders. It has been humbling to hear their stories and hear not only how the staff they are coaching are being transformed, but also how the coaching skills are helping them in the marketplace. Those who have come to my home for personal retreat have made life changing decisions. One gal moved to Scotland to pursue seminary, another left her job to follow her calling to live overseas and minister. God also is using my cancer story. This has opened up many spiritual conversations with Barb, Jim, Barbara and many others. I love sharing the message of hope. I also have spoken evangelistically to Priority Associates business meetings and to United Nations leaders.

Prayer Requests

• Pray for my ongoing health needs and wisdom to know how to pace myself and accept my limitations.
• Pray for my wise use of technology in ministry. Pray for the right tools that will make ministry effective.
• Pray that I would be a good steward of my time, treasure and talents including health.
• Pray for wisdom and discernment in what opportunities to pursue. There are so many. Pray I hear God’s voice directing me to the ones He wants now. 

Support Needs

God has been faithful for 34 years to supply my needs. Currently I am trusting God for the means to pay my housing costs for the purpose of hosting my coaching clients. I also have ongoing medical expenses as they monitor my cancer. In order to sustain current needs and additional ministry expenses, I need an additional $4,000 a month.
